We strive to be as naturel as possible. But what do we mean by this? Well, what we mean is that our products are free of perfume or parabens and that they are pH-skin neutral and hypoallergenic. Below, we explain each term in depth!
No perfume
Perfume is not only bad for people with a sensitive skin. Also for people with an insensitive skin it is of utmost importance to be aware of the consequences of using perfume. Perfume is actually a substance that irritates your skin and makes it vulnerable to infections. This leads to the demolition of collagen (of which you will notice the consequences after a couple of years), makes your skin prone to external influences, and will inhibit the recovery process of the skin. It could also be possible that it worsens the problem of pimples and acne. It is therefore important to avoid perfume in skin care products despite of your skin type or age!
Paraben free
What are parabens? Parabens are chemical substances that have preservative characteristics. They just make sure the product will last longer on the shelf. Parabens are often used in sunscreen products, shampoos, conditioner, hair product, moisturizing crèmes, anti-aging products, mascara and other cosmetics. According to some studies these substances among which methylparaben, ethylparabeen, propylparaben, butylparaben en isobutylparaben could damage your health by stimulating the development of tumors in your body. Thus, be aware of what you buy!
pH-skin neutral
The pH-value gives an indication of the acidity of the skin; the lower the pH, the higher the acidity. The small layer of fat on the skin is also a little bit acid. This is good because it makes sure that bacteria and fungi cannot pass through the skin. The term pH-skin neutral means that the product has the same pH-value as the skin. With a product that is pH-skin neutral the acidity of the skin thus remains the same and is not brought out of balance.
Hypoallergenic
Hypoallergenic means that there or no substances in the product, of which is known that they can cause an allergic reaction. We strive to put as less ingredients as possible in our lotions and only ingredients that take care of the skin. Therefore, we can safely say that every (body) can use our products.
